Joe MacGown surreal art drawings

If you like my artwork and want to keep up with current news, a good way to do that is to like my Facebook fan page [link] or follow my blog [link] to those of you who already do!

Also, visit the Energy Art Movement site [link] am a member of this group and have been very pleased with it. It is one of the few online groups who actually put together real shows in real galleries. What started as an online group of artists with somewhat common ideas, has become a full blown art movement. I have participated in four shows now including exhibitions in Toronto, Chicago, Memphis, and currently Russia! Sold some artwork at the last show too, which was nice. But mostly, these shows are great opportunities to have new viewers see our art. Also, I enjoy having my art in shows with artists who inspire me.  The galleries have all been very nice as well.

Haha, no, not in prison! But, yeah, if I was, I can see where the walls would be filled. Who knows, maybe I won't finish it. I will do other things in between. Good luck with the new look. I know what you are saying. Need to change sometimes!

I just started a big drawing on a roll of paper (4 ft X 30ft, or something like that). It will probably take at least 10 years to finish. Seriously. I don't know exactly where I will go with it yet, Plan on doing sections then rolling that part up and moving on.

A few smaller sized things going on too including several on pieces of primed birch plywood with various colored media and pen for detail. One is coming along. Kind of a yellow and brown scheme with a crazy tree deal. Hard to explain. 2 X 4 feet. What about you?
